The current infrastructure for transit between Manhattan and NJ is quite lacking, an additional tunnel for trains and bridge for bikes/cars seems like a great idea. (This also allows the current aging infrastructure to be closed for re

What es6 features were you looking for that TS didn't support? In general, it supports most stage 3 and higher ES proposals. (Note that TS doesn't polyfill methods; it only adds support for syntactic elements)

I'm being a touch quarrelsome, but wouldn't a data center job often inherently require working on weekends and holidays? Curious here about the nature of data center jobs in general and in what specific ways Amazon would be worse

I've found this exact same thing as well - the FF awesome bar always seems to give me the results I want, whereas I have to do a lot more specific and manual typing to find what I want in the Chrome bar. This could be an interesting bl

Just a small point of disagreement: Often, in busy parts of NYC, hailing a cab is much more convenient that calling an Uber. Ubers often take awhile to get to you whereas a yellow cab can be hailed within a few seconds. I am interested in t

NYC to Pittsburgh is actually a subpar trip in terms of Northeast train travel. It's smooth-sailing from NYC to Philly and Philly to Harrisburg, but once you get west of Harrisburg, speeds drop drastically and the resulting trip is muc

I'd also disagree that skee-ball is a game of chance, because at the least, it's a game where how well you do is determined almost entirely by how well you roll the balls. And it's not a game, like a ring toss game, where you

I've played skee-ball quite frequently and done well using this banking method (as taught to me by my grandfather!). But I'm not sure why it's better. Do you know what makes it easier when banking as compared to rolling the b

What about in cases where the commands may fail because of the actions of other users? For example, say you had a virtual market in a game and someone did a "buy from John" command while offline. they then proceed to use this purc

I think your analogy is wrong. Many websites broadcast live "play-by-play" info on MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL games. These are typically done, for example, by showing a graphic of a strike zone and where pitches are located as they ar

I'm not so sure that I'd say humans suck at driving. When driving on a busy freeway, with cars merging on and off and variance in flow speed, I find it pretty incredible that there aren't more accidents. Similarly, when i

If your company doesn't do any 401k matching, how worth is is to put money into it vs. regular investing? In my case it's likely I may want access to the money before retirement age, so I'm not sure what the best option is.

The world record marathon time, 2:02:57, works out to about 4:41 per mile. It's incredible that someone can keep that pace for 26 miles when most (including me I think) couldn't run that pace for even 200 metres.

I live in NYC and pay $35/month from TWC for 50/5. It's an introductory yearlong rate, and goes up to $45/month after a year. But if you ask really really nicely, they'll let you keep the $35/month rate :)
