Yes, I was just illustrating that we don't eat the riches, it's indeed not good examples of becoming rich in France (though the truth is our traditional "social elevator" is being broken more and more as free public scho

It's very possible to be very rich in France. It's not the result of random luck that both the richest man and the richest woman in the world were french not that long ago (Bernard Arnaud and Liliane Bettencourt). You should not b

The issue is not that Apple is not possible here, but more that it is possible there and we allow them to operate normally in Europe (though things are starting to change on this front, as more laws are targeting them). Corporations that ar

It's nearly impossible to compete with AWS on hosting. People host their stuff on AWS, it's so much easier to take the fully integrated solutions of AWS than a third party vendor that they have realistically no chance of competing

(note that you still have to tsc everything anyway in the CI to check the types, so when you ship TS files to production your CI does the hard work, but then doesn't finish the easy part it so your prod server has to do it? Why?)

Why would doing work at run time that can be done at build time be a good idea? I have a CI, I'd rather have it so the build work rather than delegating that to my production servers.

I have often seen the secret component of an asymmetric key pair referred as secret key as well. See libsodium for example. Maybe it's because curve/ed 25519 secrets are 32 random bytes unlike RSA keys which have specific structur

Yes, agreed. Having standalone native binary could also be one of the goal (yes the /native options works too) Personally I like Scala a lot, and I used it quite a lot as a hobby for 10+ years, but my impression is that it's dying

One important thing is that Rust is an expressive language that's pleasant to use, unlike Go :) that would explain why many side projects that could be in Go are actually in Rust even if they could have been done efficiently in Go too.

In French we don't have flammable, only _inflammable_ (meaning that it CAN catch fire). And the opposite is _ininflammable_ ^^ Something in flames is "enflammé" (there is the en- prefix ^^).
