I got the first 3 wrong, then I started looking at the necks and the background and got all of them right (although not always 100% certain I was going to get it). A few of them to have some artifacts on the face that give it away, but this

I use an app with 3 different SQLite databases, but since I never have to join tables from different files, I haven't found a downside.

I know a bloke in Portugal who has a side business in tourism. He organizes events and tours. Depending on where you live (or want to live), it might be a nice option.

My wife prefers top loading washing machines because you can stop the process to add or remove clothes and also pick something out to give it an extra scrub before continuing the washing. So there's a non technical reason to use them.

I recently bought an Android TV Box (Quad-core, 4GB of RAM) just to see if I could use it as a remote terminal. I turns out to be quite practical and fast. The only gotcha is that DNS doesn't work on the VPN and I have to log on to my

Just forget about trying to be fair: use some kind of test and pick out by lottery from the n best results.

It's interesting that the Cat came out in 1987, the same year as the Cambridge Z88. The Z88 cost 250 pounds (about US$400 at the time), which would make it a lot cheaper than the Cat.

I rarely play the lottery. If I were to throw away 13% of my income, I would try a different game: buy random stocks. I would just choose a random stock, not even looking at anything other than the ticker, buy it and sit on it.

I've worked with FTS in the database before, and I'd much rather use Elastic. There's an FDW for Elastic, so they work together quite nicely and you can have the best of both worlds.

You don't have to use UML with the intention of generating code from it and you can use different levels of detail according to your needs. When you use UML, your goal should be to convey the overall architecture, the modeling of the d

RAM was expensive in those days. If you put more address lines, the chip would be more expensive and you would have a smaller market for it.

I interacted a bit with the AI and the Portuguese is fine, it's just that it conjugates, uses the proper pronouns, etc. These things a typical Brazilian does not do. The difference between standard Portuguese and oral language in Brazi

One of the worst cultural crimes the US has committed (hyperbole for comic effect but a touch serious) is to remake Nueve Reinas, the wonderful argentine movie. Certain things just have to be left as they are.

I recall reading somewhere that the price of wine in gold is pretty much the same it was in Roman times, so this might actually be a good idea. Maybe we could adopt a basket of different spirits as a metric so that one bad harvest of a spec

This is exactly the same palette the BBC Micro had. It was frustrating to have such a fast computer, high resolution (640×256) and be stuck with those awful colours.

Actually, you can blame Lúcio Costa for the design of the city. Niemeyer designed the buildings. I hear they are not the best places to work, but I do like the spaces inside the ones I've being to.

Yes, I'm pretty sure SQLite would be more than enough for a lot of sites. The point I was trying to make was that, if you are going to add SQLite support, you might as well add some tooling to help you switch between databases.
