I think the argument here could be stated sort of as push "type" ifs up, and "state" ifs down. If you're in rust you can do this more by representing state in the type (additionally helping to make incorrect states

Oh.. somehow I missed that the tire didn't explode with the needle. I was thinking, if the tires are exploding anyway, is a bullet much worse? But that makes sense.

How is this related to spam? Apple has the same ability to filter SMS messages as it does iMessage, this is purely about the format.

I don't think this is an accurate take. The DMA is about businesses and their relationships with consumers, so any regulation has to be targeted to that. The argument is that Apple not allowing businesses to use a protocol on par with

I believe conditions like this cause impact to people's livelihood by putting them out of action. Caring for the sick also has economic costs.

I do think it's a little goofy, but an extra month or so of delay over the FAA review doesn't seem like the end of the world to me. They could have avoided it by not blasting their launch pad to smithereens.

Not too serious proposal, beam up, beam sideways, and then beam back down starlink style? I wonder if the losses and costs here could ever be competitive with HVDC lines.

What happens if the air is saturated? Does the molecule clump just settle back down where it came from, or would it stay suspended somehow in the air (mist?)? Alternatively, I wonder if this could be used as a super swamp cooler, I'm p
