I work on one project at a time. Every night my wife goes to bed at 10. I go to bed at 11. That is my time during the week. On the weekends my son sleeps from 11->1 or 2. So I get a couple of hours in there too (sometimes). I go to the

This is very exciting to me. I very strongly desire an E-Ink display to work on. I find the LCD displays are a horror on my eyes after a full day at work and hacking in the evening. I don't want to watch videos but a terminal colour that re

While it is very true that Unity is slow to launch applications I regularly launch a browser with Logo+1 hitting both immediately and releasing. The browser is launched and the side bar never even makes an appearance. You don't need to wait

Another kiwi here. I have one of the first commercial chromebooks to come out from Samsung. For me the build quality is one of its best features. It's all plastic, but it has a great hinge and a very good keyboard.

I would like to second this question. Is the implementation based on a market where users buy and sell shares from each other, over some kind of exchange, or are we buying and selling shares from the site itself? Great idea. Look forward to

I was trying to figure this out. Where did you find the information confirming that the cores are general purpose. I had inferred that they were GPU like from the use of the openCL programming language. Perhaps ignorantly.

I cannot offer any kind of sponsorship. But my wife and I are looking at settling in Germany in the future. This makes Berlin a lot more attractive to me.

When I read articles like this my fears always move straight to a future where it has become harder to program for play. I appreciate that this concern is somewhat superficial compared with some of the issues raised in this article, but I f

I would strongly back Haskell for this purpose. The reason for this is principally that Haskell is a single install, (whereas Clojure requires the jvm first and then Clojure). Haskell is a single language, Clojure is java with Clojure runni

I am writing a location service to allow people to add 'local interaction' easily to an application. There is a demo of a multiplayer tankwars clone using it at battlewith.me.uk The initial idea was that when I was young I played games on a

Confirmed. I can access the terminals via the F* keys, which are just the fancy keys across the top of the keyboard. Cheers.

My chromebook doesn't have an F1 key (although I read somewhere that the F* keys are the special function keys aross the top of the keyboard). I will see if I can reproduce that behaviour tonight.

A better ssh client could do wonders. This little thing could be just what the doctor ordered. http://mosh.mit.edu/ Unfortunately for a mobile ssh client it doesn't appear to be available for any mobile OSes (yet). I would be delighted to

The majority of the time I use wifi. I haven't used 3G for a while. I found it to be flaky and stop/start all the time. It was the freezing of crosh ssh that was my biggest problem. If I was expecting to be away from wifi I would probably n

Not related to the question of spec and standards processes but it is interesting to ask the question of whether web sockets are architecturally sound. It certainly seems that for games like BrowserQuest they are more or less necessary. But
