I work on one project at a time. Every night my wife goes to bed at 10. I go to bed at 11. That is my time during the week. On the weekends my son sleeps from 11->1 or 2. So I get a couple of hours in there too (sometimes). I go to the gym during lunchtime. Unfortunately that is easier or harder depending on where you work. I think one of the best pieces of advice that is being repeated here is to have just one project at a time. I think this is golden, if you are pressed for time then more than one will kill you.
