Because the information leaked to the public 2 days before. The moment that happened, the information became public, and then it wasn’t insider trading anymore.

Apple only really had two actions, both bad for Epic. They probably prepared responses and PR campaigns against both.

Not really. If it’s my damn fridge, and it comes with an OS, I’d like to install whatever software I want on it, not just buy overpriced crap through the manufacturers insolence-store.

I don’t agree. The C ABI is specified in a spec that Linux adopts (eg the x86-psabi), and it is what allows all software using this abi (from assembly to C to Rust) to eg Interface with each other. Linux could write an ABI spec for Rust on

I guess they mean ABI breaking changes, like enum Lay-out optimizations, etc. (not “language feature” breaking changes).

Two issues with the post: - An ABI is not a PL feature, but a platform feature, I.e., it is not that Rust does not have a stable ABI, but that eg Linux does not have a stable ABI for Rust (it has one for C and you can use this ABI from Rust

The state of the art is Idris, which has a sound, decidable, and extremely powerful type system. Most state of the art mainstream languages like Rust have sound but undecidable type systems. Many older languages with ad-hoc type systems are

Undefined behavior is memory safety; at least from Rust POV. A program with UB is not memory safe because the compiler makes no guarantees about the behaviors of those programs.

Your claim that “as” being used is incompatible with it being unidiomatic is false. The docs, the reference, and the RFCs all regards “as” as a mistake that should not be used, and _many_ features have been introduced over the years to redu

The stock price only reflects the supply and demand of a company’s stock. A lot of people want to have nvidias and Tesla stock, so their price is higher. The problem is all those people writing financial pornography about the stock market.
