A bigger question in my mind is whether this is a real problem, or ever could be with higher concentrations likely to occur in this way. Certainly not having medications in the tap water seems safer than having any, but what amount of what

Is k8s really considered that complex? Yes, you need a lot of tooling to go from code to orchestration. But when you are commoditizing software to run on a desktop, on prem, in the cloud, across many customers and topologies, reproducible d

I had never thought of passing legislation against unsafe languages. It sounds like the type of thorny legislative issue that leaves you with a half broken system, like all the cookie notices that currently abound. Nice in spirit, impossibl

No, because for better or worse “he” is the default for a plurality or unknown gender in most (all?) romance languages, including English. Times and sensitivities change but “she” still connotes more knowledge than “he” so it’s bound to cau

I find that about a 30-35 hour work week is ideal for me. I have kids, a house, a social life, juggling all of that is challenging and working straight 8-10 hour days just leaves everything else to fall out in the mix. Even though I didn’t

Interesting. I think you are talking about intra-container composition, and I’m talking about inter-container composition. I see what you are saying (I think) about dependencies within a single container.

They are different means of composition. Dynamically (I assume that’s what you meant?) linked libraries allow you to compose binary artifacts. Containers allow you to compose services.

The WaPo article where I first read about the theory said most of this stuff. I didn’t understand then why people were so quick to dismiss it - it is eerily plausible, and we just don’t have much other data to go on. But it’s like having an

I realized that may have been a poorly made point on my part. If you are on call you’re on call. But a lot of “emergencies” in non-operational contexts can wait till the next day in my experience, and often do due to societal norms - everyo

How certain are we of this? Why could the big bang have not happened in space, at a point in some time continuum that started before the event itself? Why could it not be a relatively local phenomenon that we simply cannot observe beyond?
