Yes and no. For example if you are doing Azure, technically Azure can see tenant traffic I believe and you need to use both a Platform Key and CMK for data rest. VMs need encryption at host turned on too. There is nothing to say that a dete

Are any of these truly alternatives? MinIO is built for scale and not small projects. Ceph is maybe closest.

XEP-0198 is great for session management. But, Android and iOS don’t really want apps maintaining persistent sockets. WhatsApp solves this by leveraging the push infrastructure when the app is suspended.

Agree this is a broad statement for any use of AI for any purpose. Open ended prompts / requests are bound to lead to misleading results, hallucinated responses, waste of tokens, etc

This is a different argument now. While better transit /may/ reduce uninsured driving, that doesn’t make urban planning the root cause of it. Also, stealing food because you are hungry isn’t analogous to driving uninsured or justi

The problem with that analogy is people aren’t machines. They’re making choices. Bad city design can make things harder, sure. It still doesn’t remove personal responsibility for choosing to drive illegally.

    You are making excuses.
13. 43.▲
    by firesteelrain 1mo ago

This is framing it as a false binary. People need to take personal responsibility. They can walk, ride, bike, phone a friend, relative etc So yes it is surprising and wrong

Poverty may explain uninsured driving. It doesn’t justify making everyone else eat the risk.

This is great. But airports are super busy and crowded these days. Imagine all the extra people if everyone took advantage of this I don’t remember how it looked back in the day when you didn’t need Gateside.

I had to dig in (based on the title) to realize this was emulating or stubbing out the Cloud providers logging interface. I was thinking this was a replacement for Azure Stack Hub SDK or ASDK.
