I'm a huge advocate of ideas like this (repeat, huge), but like many things in life, it is dramatically more complicated when you dig in. First, hierarchies always form. They might be informal, or quasi-transient, but in the absence of

The comments on github are akin to 'my eyes! they bleed', but tbh, this is actually quite readable and I imagine wouldn't be all that hard to maintain. I haven't touched PHP since about 2007 and it seems like it would be

I've always liked C#, and even like Visual Studio to some degree, but I would never develop it for anything other than a hobby application. Why? Windows. I'm not going to be tied to a an entire ecosystem like that. If MS was serio

I have to say, I've not had the issue where I don't have nearly full control of a server. I do imagine this would provide many different challenges overall. Does PIL need to be compiled when you use it via Pip (I'm not famili

I use Ubuntu, so I don't know if these are in Debian as well, but Jockey and Ubuntu Software Center come to mind. My main issue with them is the common symptom where both "hang" or "freeze" for a few seconds. Visual

There's probably a bunch of different ways to do this, but I just use virtualenv + pip still. Here's some documentation on Django (as an example): https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/howto/deployme

I didn't realize there was a fight going on. It seems like this is where everyone settled and is a good solution: Virtualenv + pip for development system wide (apt, dpkg) python etc for system tools and packages. This makes sense to me

I feel there are several rather nuanced views on this. You are likely looking at from the affiliate owner perspective. Others might be looking at from an outsiders perspective. I'm looking at as from a programming standpoint. And I

I generally agree with your statement, though I would say that this is more about Crossfit HQ and not individual crossfit affiliates. Crossfit HQ is most definitely about the money. And, IMO, HQ is also the heart of the issue when it comes

I'm not going to fight you on the point, see my note at the bottom. I feel most people say weight when they mean fat. Medically speaking, it is always about fat. If a doctor tells you to lose weight, they mean fat.
