And, in the meantime we continue to deny an entire set of people rights they should have and bury our head in the sand to the current real world problems this poses. Even if you hold the position you stated and wanted that change, we can&

I wish I could, but I'm 6'2". I calculated my height needs to be about 46"-48" (would have to play with it when I got it assembled). The legs go max 42 1/4". I'd rather have the desk itself be at that

I have been looking at the T5XX line, but I just don't want something that large! I travel quite a bit and very much prefer a 13" max system. I have X220 right now and the X1 would have been perfect if they didn't completely

I'm super annoyed with the changes that Lenovo did to the Thinkpad line. I've been a longtime user and first they changed the keyboard style, then the layout, and then they got rid of the physical mouse buttons (requiring one to u

Pretty good HiDPI support is coming to Ubuntu in 14.04. I've been running the dev and it is pretty good, though not perfect. I wouldn't have a problem getting a HiDPI screen with 14.04.

I've stuck to ThinkPads. They are great....or were great. They recently changed the keyboard (bad) and also got rid of the physical mouse buttons (NOOOOOO! BAD LENOVO!). With those gone, there isn't anything particularly compellin

The forest is calories, so don't lose that. However, the trees are macros. Macros are important for goals. If your goal is simply "lose weight", sure, just care about calories. But if you have a more refined goal (recomp, spa

I knew a women who felt it was her moral duty to fight vaccinations. She had no issue forging documentation saying her kids had gotten vaccinated when they hadn't. I've heard this is common among the anti-vax crowd. Not saying it

It's this type of comment that really disappoints me about HN these days. Ubuntu just released V1 of their phone in October. Anyone who knows phone manufacturers and carriers knows how long they soak something in their labs. Ubuntu has

Ok, here it is. Technically, we don't need carbs. Whatever that means, it is what it is. Carbs are a non-essiential macronutrient. We need some vitamins, minerals and what not as well as protein and fat. We don't need carbs. Some

When people ask me about this, I like to start off by telling them that of the three macronutrients, carbs, protein and fat, only carbs are non-essential. We literally can't live without fat and protein, but we would do just fine with
