Upon reading the article, did I get it correctly that this is talking solely about the default browser choice? I.e., if I understood it right, it still won’t allow non-webkit browsers with their own browser engines. Here is the relevant quo

That's cool and all, but I either can wait for that to happen or not happen (which is not a certainty), or I can just use macOS (or a flavor of Linux). Sure, the EU will fix things like they've managed to do in the past with other

To be fair, that same Chevy Camaro I am complaining about above was sold in EU and UK as well, so I wouldn’t throw stones at the US regulation being behind in this case. It only stopped being sold in 2019 in EU+UK, only the SS version, and

They do. Just because those regulations might not be good enough, that doesn’t mean that they don’t have any at all. For a specific example, I am pretty sure that backup cameras have been mandatory on all new cars since at least 2018.

You clearly replied in an entirely wrong thread, but I upvoted because your reply was pretty interesting. Out of curiosity, what was the comment that you were originally intending to reply to?

Which was kind of my point. I would love if there was some sort of a safety rating that was cross-comparable across all vehicles, not just within the same category/type. I wouldn’t want it to be replacing the per-category one, as that

A lot of those car manufacturers just don’t care, and it isn’t exclusive to large cars either (though the damage they can do is obviously much higher, making them more dangerous to pedestrians). I like sports cars, so I tried test driving a

I agree with your last paragraph, there is quite a good bit of mismanagement happening there that led to firing en masse and other things. The thing is, their union didn’t prevent that from happening, but it did add that silly inefficient s
