Caddy is my server/proxy of choice. It replaced Traefik, but I have one complaint. It looks like the documentation if very outdated. The examples in the official docs or elsewhere on the internet never work, and I always find myself g

I love and develop for Linux, but I use a Mac. I understand people’s complaints about macs, but in no way have I bought it for any kind of signaling. Most people don’t know I use a Mac, except my family. I used to be a windows person, and h

If you need to transmit it securely you’d need a shared secret. A password that everyone already knows. You would also create a Whatsapp group that is E2E encrypted (or any of the other chat apps that have the same security) and share there

I think the way to compete here is not directly targeting BT customers, but looking at other potential customers that might not be able to afford a BT, at least in the beginning of their journeys, and use that revenue to fund "complete

I second this so much. We all understand how much effort we put into bringing our work into HN, bc we know how critical it can be. But we do it because we expect the critique to be genuine and useful. This “what about me” behavior is discou

No, Wordpress is horrible. I have worked with it for my clients for years, and I’ve moved everyone of them to something else, just have 2 left to move. Security is a problem. Many of the top security plugins are scams. They make your websit

Just want to point out that docker bypasses ufw, so binding to 0.0.0.0 might not be as safe as you think. Best think to do is not expose any ports at all and have your proxy connect to the container’s internal port.

My solution to this is having a debit card connected to an account that has no funds and allows no overdrafts. And I only load the account when I specifically want to pay for something. I do this for everything, incl. Spotify, Netflix, etc.

I understand if something works, people copy it, but this is ridiculous. The pixel showcase page might as well be apple's. It's literally an ad for apple's brand and design and marketing, etc. So tired of this laziness.
