I always think "the number of reasons is infinite" is very snarky. I think he probably wants to extract some stats out of the answers. Maybe some reasons are more common than others. It's not a bad question.

Problem is they first sell you the car. The later they tell you they can make it even better with a subscription, and you realize they are just double dipping.

I think after using so many of these organization apps, I used plaintext note taking apps, sublime text, trello, more structured note taking apps (evernote, Agenda for Mac, etc), Todo apps (so many of them, incl pomodoro style), then went b

Still is there value? whether you submit a unique email address, this model would still work for the millions of users who do not correct? Also, I assume icloud or similar services are not immune to leaks?

Is it a good idea to build an newsletter subscription service (like mailchimp) that works like apple email relay, where the customers don't have access to the actual emails? The difference would be on trust that the provider will not u

You don't need to make the laws to give advice. Are you saying the SEC can't or isn't required? Because not being required does not mean they shouldn't do it.

I've been looking at Substack with the eyes of someone who has lived through the enshitment of Quora, Medium et al, and realized there are never guarantees with any such service. Apparently I owe them money and attention, and they owe

Something is always the problem. With a VPS, you don’t usually have to worry about DO being a problem. You pay your bills, your server stays up. Maybe if you don’t update you might get hacked, but killed by provider update is not a failure

I always thought that, redundancies aside, bare minimum was the only way to hire. So why should France want a company to hire 100x more engineers than it needs (and can/will fire at the slightest earnings glitch). This goes for all cou
