I don't think you're wrong that you can learn this stuff on the job, but a "primer" kind of class like this which surveys several useful tools helps new engineers develop pattern matching skills around how to continue se

haha I will 100% read this. I am endlessly fascinated by Runescape and the reasons it held such a grip on so many people. In my opinion, a far different appeal than a more mature game like World of Warcraft. There was something to endear

this is so sick. Runescape was such an amazing game. I loved how high stakes it was. If you died, you lost your shit permanently. When I was 12 my mom didn't want me to play and wouldn't allow me to use her credit card to buy a

2lb/month of weight gain, including muscle, fat, and water, is very doable for a beginner lifter. 2lb/month of true lean tissue mass is indeed "impossible" without exogenous hormones.

staying in shape primarily hinges on maintaining habits. I always tell people to start with taking two 10-minute walks per day. Once you can regularly do that, it's a natural next step to start doing weightlifting workouts, etc. If

would love a blog post / tutorial for this set up including the expensive sensors. I think a lot of us who care about air quality don't mind spending a few hundred dollar for cool new data

the fact that SQLite is a library (embedded DB) means only one node can access the DB at a time. This would not be appropriate for many apps that require HA.

totally agree. Also, when developing in complex codebases, being able to shorten the time distance between thinking an action needs to be done and actually doing it means you can keep more ideas in your head rather than spend your CPU cycl

Fair points. I think the term "processed" does have colloquial value and doesn't usually refer to things like yogurt/cheese/canned beans/etc.

I agree that there is not consensus in the scientific/medical community about this. You can find MDs who will advise avoiding linoleic acid as a top health prioty (i.e Paul Saladino) and other scientists who do not agree there is suff
