I was an early contributor to Cocos2d, Riq was always looking for a good level editor and produced his own eventually ( http://www.sapusmedia.com/levelsvg/ ) but it was a bit limited. I'm sure he'd be interested in your work, have you reach

Forget technology, go see some art. And like @jack said, buy some local artisan goods.

I don't know, ask Gopal. But it will be interesting to see if SFDC does anything truly disruptive in this space. Hard to see how shareholders are getting much value from a task manager behind an expensive two-letter domain name! Sure Marc's

I think these guys ripped us off, and all they did was go after the low-handing fruit: tasks only. We pushed to add geo-tagging, voice, business card scanning, and some a peer-to-peer CRM system. Plus, we have a cooler name: http://fieldfo

Would like to point iOS developers to the excellent cocoacontrols.com for these and other projects, and a shameless plug for our Apple "SpringBoard" clone: http://cocoacontrols.com/platforms/ios/controls/openspringbo...

Nice post. My time at Panasonic & then later selling software tools to the Symbian OS developers was eye opening to say the least. The Japanese corporate mentality was, in many ways, still feudal. Fujitsu's Symbian OS team was given a l

Why just limit communication to their inbox, have you tried Twitter/FB/LI integration?

Thanks for the comment. The avatar is optional, as are LI/Twitter invites. The signup process is two screens, but I mention the Avatars because people are engaging to this degree at least. And it's 1000's of users doing this, so I'm pretty

Thanks for the feedback. We've tried blasting out email surveys, but the response rate has been terrible. I like your idea of in-app guided educational walk thru's. There's a good UI design pattern website, here: http://mobile-patterns.com

Thanks for the comment. It's a good idea, try to do a sweep of users who've decided not to engage but the problem is getting them to respond. We send an automated email reminder 1 week after registering to prod people, and have offered onli

Instead of "PlusApps.eu" in the upper left, I would place the name of the app itself. Should the app name be "Earthquake Monitor" without an 's'? First paragraph syntax, an extra space before the period "Seismological Centre ." Also what's

Curious, any reason you're against the Qualcomm part? Just that you prefer OpenGL on Imagination Technology GPU and not the Adreno or something else?

If you're comfortable writing a design brief (ie., what 99designs requires) then you might want to reach out to designers directly. Some good locations for previewing portfolios that I use: http://creattica.com/logos/latest-designs http:

When I'm feeling insecure about my own UI design skills, this list picks me up off the mat; somehow seeing precious pixel real estate littered with misplaced buttons, uneven gradients, random hues out of some 1970 shag carpet motel nightmar

There's a lot of history for so-called term subscription license (TSL's) in the business literature. I agree with the general comments about offering 3- or 6-month TSL's but price your fees around a 12-month TSL and charge more for shorte

Am I the only one who gets intimidated by good UI design? I think I should just focus on back end stuff and completely outsource anything on the front end.
