I am not exactly knowledgeable about airplane safety, but I feel like safety checklists are something that could be, and probably are, handled by a machine more efficiently? I would guess that there are probably enough things on there that

I am "camp Haskell", so my approach was pretty much data-driven. But what is a state machine if not a big nest of if-else statements? :-)

I actually played Splendor for the first (three) time(s) some time ago and honestly didn't really like it. It's a very simple game, true. I feel like there are not many decision points for me as a player and therefore there is not

Honestly that probably won't be too interesting as (a) one AI could perfectly control several agents (ie perfect coordination of global strategies) and (b) an AI has low to no reaction times and perfect aim (aimbots already have that)

I tried my hand once or twice at (re-)implementing board games [0], so that I could run some common "AI" algorithms on the game trees. What tripped me up every time is that most board games have a lot of "if this happens, the

Its a compromise between replayability and the feeling of achievement that you get from a long running campaign game. I feel like those are on opposing ends of a spectrum: one the one end you have games like chess, go or even Magic the Gath

Somewhat tangential: but I love the LiquidHaskell demos, mostly because they show what would be possible if our tools would just be a tiny bit smarter. Example: 1. Goto here: http://goto.ucsd.edu:8090/index.html#?demo=O

I had to look that up ... is that Euphoria ? As stated above, I think that how the code is structured also heavily influences readability. Maybe even more than syntax highlighting. Case in point: I was fortunate enough to work on a Haskell

At least for machine screws I buy Torx is easily twice the price of regular socket head screws: [100 'old-school' M3x5 screws]( https://www.screwsandmore.de/de/sortiment/schrauben-und-bolz... ) [50 Torx M3

I don't think this would change a lot, you would probably raise big sites (Pinterest, Facebook) a lot higher in the rankings as the 99% non-programmers would vouch for them. You could counter that somewhat by having a "people who

Sounds reasonable ... I've been to some pre-WW2 city houses where the toilet and shower were directly next to the kitchen. Just running one set of pipes sounds like a good explanation for that.
