Recruiting is tough. Thinking about my last job transition, there was probably a golden period of two weeks where I was truly open to all recruitment possibilities. By the end of those two weeks I was starting to move into the offer stages.

When you are a company leader, your words can have a material effect on your business. This is doubly so true at a disruptive point like leadership exits. Of course words are going to be delicately chosen? That being said I didn't noti

Why would 2FA of all things be the critical issue? Tech savvy people should understand and use hardware security keys at this point to be securing their cloud accounts in general.

People who continue to work Facebook at are going to face tough questions not just from current-day peers, but from future generations about why they willingly continued to work for such a company when there were no shortage of other opport

I don't understand why this blog post has invited non-sequiturs about Kubernetes. Autoscaling is only one small part of what Kubernetes provides.

You're making a point about the permanence of laws by citing the Patriot Act, which started to expire in 2006 and expired completely in 2020.

I did not actively change my path; I was exposed to security through my daily work as a full-stack dev at a security-focused startup, I had great mentors and colleagues who I was able to learn a great deal from, and I discovered I had a re

Are there any possibilities for you to first work at a company doing full stack dev in a way that allows you to interact with security teams? Stuff like implementing the OWASP top ten? That was how I built up a skill set and knowledge base

I don't think the trend can be reversed. I don't blame social media, I think RSS is incapable on the supply side as well. Quality content producers are not going to use RSS because - HTML/CSS/JS allow for much more sophi

Does any package ecosystem do this? Rust had the opportunity to start off doing the right thing but instead uses long-lived API tokens which can get easily owned.

The Shield is probably the most valuable bit of electronics in my home. It's the right level of complexity for family/guests to consume media. Gamestream, the Plex Server, and the ability to serve as a NAS are big wins as well.
