If you click "try the preview" you can see that there's a pen tool but it doesn't seem to be implemented yet. Just rectangles so far, but you do indeed draw on the stage a la Flash/Animate.

But note that the point of an ECS is being able to dynamically change roles without recreating new entities. If changing a house into a houseboat means creating a new entity, then everyone who had a reference to the house would need to be i

Yes exactly - when tsc you really want code hints for an object, but tsc can't guess its type, you can do: /** @type {import('../index').Engine} */ this.engine = engine Most of my projects have a g

Dynamically though? The attraction of ECS is that your house can start and stop being a boat as needed.

Lately I've gotten into the habit of giving my pure JS projects a tsconfig.json file, so that my editor runs the files through tsc and I get all the code hints and errors it reports. I find that as long as the code is reasonably straig

This seems like a very strange position to take. For one, I think what you're attacking here is usually called "descriptivism", as opposed to prescriptivism. Relativism is already a term of art in linguistics for something un

(assuming you're really asking) It's because JS has a notion of array elements being "empty", and the map operation skips empty elements. Basically "empty" means the element has never had a value assigned to it

The issue there is that arrays aren't first class types in JS, they're just objects with numeric property names. So if applying an operator to arrays spread the operation across all the elements that way, it would imply that the s

Yeah, a lot of these have nothing to do with JS. I have no idea what the site is trying to accomplish. I mean: !!!true In what language does that (or its equivalent) not evaluate to false?
