Military assets are so large and populated, it seems incredibly challenging to not leak this level of information. There was a story[0] about a military base that was revealed because soldiers would track their runs/workouts with GPS w

Not the one I used, but this one actually looks better. Just being Linux + Firefox is terrible for blending into the herd. Let alone everything else that leaks (having a desktop + GPU + good monitor basically destroys all remaining hope).

I think that is correct, but it still seems like an amount of leakage that could be further correlated with other another trick. There was previously a site which could indicate how globally unique your environment was (some combination of

For anyone who is willing to use a webapp, I like drawio[0]. You can download locally[1] and self host (I just use the python webserver). While finding the Github, I see they now actually package an Electron application, so that is probably

If you are doing all of the processing on a single node, isn't MapReduce just another name for batch processing?

I do not write anything as security sensitive as sudo, but I am continually alarmed at the size of a Rust dependency graph. I yearn for someone to package up an annual Rust-standard-library crate as featureful as Python/Go.

I guess the question is how many people play around on the weekends. I could believe those still playing have a daily ritual when they play a match after logging into work.

NOAA claims there is 1 gram gold / 100 million metric tons of seawater[0]. Even if you could refine it, there has to be other valuable materials at significantly higher concentrations with a plausible profit margin. [0] https:/&#

I am missing the win vs creating a local clone per branch. From my minor reading it seems like there are potentially a few gotchas about the worktree process. If I make a new clone, I have full isolation, and should be able to do cross bran
