Maybe that is just the American baseline? Plenty of people enjoy cakes, cookies, doughnuts, brownies, etc that will be made with real sugar either at bakeries or at home. 60pounds/year is ~2.6oz/day (74g/day) which sounds pre

There are probably other use cases, but I only think of data warehouses for supporting batch/analytical workloads where latency is not a problem because the entire job takes minutes/hours to complete. In which case cold start does

Also, who would potentially be building it? Unless you tell me Samsung has a five-year roadmap, I am skeptical.

If it is cheap, that will beat out a lot of other concerns. Not sufficient for consumer use, but power plants are already hazardous places that can engineer significant safety controls.

Are there power plants today that burn ammonia directly? If not, is it a simple/cheap enough conversion?

I think it is more a rule of thumb meant to be simplistic for modelling purposes, less a perfectly calculated system. I also believe the 4% rule is with the intention of keeping the principle mostly intact over 30 years of retirement.

New scripting language which claims to be fast and includes LuaJIT as a comparison in the benchmarks? That is a real test. To do a surface level bikeshed: not a huge fan of whitespace or braces. Needless flexibility in the language when t

I remember hearing a story about how one engineer had worked for something nefarious (spam? gambling? straight-up malware?) and got hired by a different company. Eventually something triggered on that engineer's account that caused Goo

Now you have me curious - where do you see the need for floats in shell? You are more creative than myself, because I am struggling to come up with a situation where I would lean on this. A "path" type would be by far more useful

Do you have a hilarious test suite that physically prints 30 complex designs to ensure things are ostensibly working? Do you have a room with dozens of the printers live at a given time?

Have they announced a potential release date for Cosmic? On a completely unrelated note, I am not a GUI/frontend guy, so that interactive Figma blew my mind. No idea it worked like that, I thought it was just for sketching out layouts.
