There’s a massive opportunity to make VR shopping experiences. Just try Redfin VR and see how cool it is for shopping for houses. I want to shop for other big purchases that way.

I love ebiking around Seattle, we’ve determined it’s faster than our car for 2 mile trips too. Also feels like cheating because you can always park right outside wherever you’re going. The “utility” ebike with cargo basket was the game chan

A therapist would really help, I’ve had a few that helped me through existential crises. This site is a great way to find one: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us

Same here in Seattle! But I also use an ebike to get everywhere within five minutes if needed and for carrying heavy groceries and dealing with steep hills.

Companies like Sweetwater do this right. They have “sales engineers” that help you find what you’re looking for over the phone or text message or email. It probably doesn’t scale but as a customer, I don’t care as it saves me so much resear

The Start button in Windows 11 uses Lottie, along with the various other new animated icons. WinUI has an AnimatedIcon control that makes them easy to integrate: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/d

Alternatively you can use WinUI within a WPF app using XAML Islands. Enables you to incrementally migrate away from WPF towards a WinUI 3-based app.

I think 0.1x (or even negative x) software engineers are more common. The ones that introduce bad bugs, don’t accept feedback, don’t communicate well with PM and design, always want to refactor things… they can take a whole team down.

Kindle also has great integration with Overdrive though. I use the Libby app on my phone to send library books to my Kindle. They get delivered directly from Amazon and it’s the same experience as if you had bought it.

I started using Libby a month ago and have probably read ten books since then. It’s awesome how well integrated it is with Kindle. Having multiple books checked out at once combined with the three week return time is very motivating for me

There’s a setting for left aligned, but Fitts Law is overrated for the Start menu. None of the apps on your taskbar have ever benefited from it, and you probably click those all the time, much more than the Start button.
