That's fantastic. I'll see what I can find. UBI tops the list of good things humans could do for one another in my mind. Public school, democracy, universal health care, and now universal basic income... what's next? Sometime

You don't need to convince me! I think Microsoft is just as evil as Google and vice versa! Microsoft did their best to ruin personal computers and Google continues to try to ruin cell phones. Luckily, in both cases, free/open sour

Compensation for volunteer work has always felt like a bandaid solution to me. What would happen if everyone's needs were met? With infinite resources, space and time, would people still volunteer? This question always makes me think o

It might just be me, but I believe most people thought Google was a worse violator prior to Windows 10. Some (probably naive) people used to think Windows was the last bastion of non-Linux hope.

Microsoft has not stopped spying, even now. They will likely be emboldened by their competitors exposure. Slowly boiling us all.

It's pretty easy to understand: Windows is closed so you'll never know if they're tracking you and if you find out they are, there's nothing you can do about it. His post was flagged, so it looks like HN agrees with me a

Due to their past and current behavior, I'm still anti-Microsoft. And I'm definitely anti-Google. Anti Apple, and Amazon, too. Generally, I'm anti-lock down and anti-spying. I bet a lot of those old anti-MS people feel like I

Shouldn't it be 'A blockchain' or 'blockchains' since we're speaking about one of many things? Or has the name become like software, code and water?

Well done. I think LibreOffice offers a python/javascript scripts/plugins? Anyone want to get an ultimatum from their girlfriend and build one for Linux?

It comes off rather arrogant, doesn't it? Not unlike Windows Subsystems for Linux, which is named exactly backwards.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but several vital plugins seem to be missing in the Linux download. Lcvcore for example. Compiling from source seems to properly populate the folders.

I've used both for hobby projects and Godot is superior in my opinion because of the scripting language, the open sourciness and the small package size. Why is unity 1.5gb anyways?

I can't say enough good things about this project. In particular I love GDScript. It's a lot like Python and it makes the cost of learning the engine negligible. You can also use C++, C# and a visual scripting language to make stu
