I have DJI drone. It's very easy to fly, however there are all sorts of restrictions that exist in the software which are not in sync with local laws (which may be more liberal than what the software thinks), so your only option is to

A lot of these operations have a full fledged office and everything. Unsure whether it's corruption or incompetence or both that prevents them from shutting them down and arresting everyone involved.

Are there any political candidates on the Presidential ballot for 2024 who might be willing to hold corporations accountable for these types of practices with stricter enforcement or perhaps changing immigration policy?

Hardware building is an expensive hobby, and often involves aspects of engineering like heat, power, safety, etc. I don't trust myself to build something that I can leave unattended and won't catch fire. How does one get over this

Creators who are working with 4K and 8K assets probably need a lot of storage. What do they typically use? Dropbox prices are pretty good. I was looking at even AWS s3 _glacier_ and it seems way more expensive. Does this mean that if everyo

I learned vim as a kid in the 90s and used it my entire life. I've never used anything else. The hours it has saved me through its efficiency and productivity has probably extended my lifespan. Vim was born out of a simple system and a

Are there any good open-source JS libraries that can create treemaps and offer some customization and flexibility as part of the APIs? The ones I've seen that come with charting libraries are quite disappointing.

Since Figma has gotten better and better, I have significantly reduced my usage of Inkscape, however, when dealing with SVGs I find that Inkscape is really good for solving bugs with the SVG exports from Figma. This seems to be my only use-

Agreed - components typically exist in various states of feature-richness, and invariably you end up finding an almost-perfect one, if you do. They also sometimes sit abandoned and unmaintained. Some catalogs use ratings/votes but they

My needs are usually secondary to the library's dependencies. I'm more than happy writing vanilla JS for my own event handlers and components. I don't mind adding a small library like alpine either to make the click handlers

When I write HTML/JS, productivity and convenience for me means the ability to easily style and not reinvent: a) Select dropdowns as feature-rich as select2 (search, style, custom click handlers, custom appearance in box, multiselect,

What's a good/affordable GPU to run these projects locally? It seems like building anything on top of these runs into either a big GPU cost for yourself or a big compute cost if you scale for others.

I use ruby/rails for professional consulting work. It helps get startups off the ground and into a MVP stage quite quickly, and there is high productivity. You can also use whatever React/Vue on the frontend if you really need to.

TIL Oracle has VPS offerings with a free tier. Are they any good? Is the free-tier time limited? This use-case is alright for a toy I guess - which is the extent that I was originally expecting these things to be useful for.
