A year or two ago when I was doing some searching in Maps for trails to hike in Hawaii, I noticed that if a trail didn't have an "official" website i.e. pointing to a local government page, in several cases a certain photogra

Pretty neat. I was able to find Quakesat, a cubesat that a friend of mine worked on. It was only expected to last a year, but kept going for around 5 or so.

goshawk-cocaine = gyrfalcon , which is funny if you know anything about goshawks and gyrfalcons (Goshawks are very intense, gyrs tend to be leisurely in flight.)

Seems to be a word not in its dictionary. Seems to not have any country or language names. Edit: these must be capitalized to be recognized.

I just hit 60. For the past 3 or so years I've always had some physical problem that is longer-term. Most of them are muscle strains (partially torn rotator cuff last year, plantar fascitis before that), and pretty annoying to keep end

Back when the price of crude oil was in the news a lot, if a rise was announced, gas stations would immediately hike prices, even though it takes like a month for the oil to be refined into gas and delivered to the station.

The hypocrisy exhibited by the right is crazy: issues with Democrats are blown far out of proportion while the same or even more severe issues are nothingburgers when committed by Republicans. I do agree Biden's cognitive health should

I'm curious how the eye migraine is related. I had one many, many years ago. It was a smallish (palm at arm's length) oval in the center of my vision that looked like snow on an analog TV, accompanied by a feeling of overwhelmed b

I always pick the cheapest Lyft available; I'm not spending a whole lotta time in it so a luxury ride isn't a priority.

I've taken Waymo only twice (I try to avoid SF), from the ferry building to Chinatown, then back. Both times it was more expensive than Lyft with tip, but only by $2-3. It's good to know it can be cheaper.

Trump derangement syndrome is just a way for Trumpers to avoid thinking critically or having to defend anything about Trump. "You have TDS" lets them pretend they are the sane ones and disengage.
