You are right, the lighting makes the original scene look worse.

Pre-rendered? Sure. In-game? No. I think the art direction is half of the problem here. You can place lighting much better and the textures are lacking.

Now look at real 1990s/early 2000’s screenshots. You memory is deceiving you. This screenshot is far from current AAA games, but there is no way to render such a scene in a game made for 2000 hardware.

Having a full-blown predicate support is so nice to have, but it interferes with compact instruction encoding. Such bloated ISA like x86 might actually handle predicate support, but who will try such a radical change?

Did anyone had the impression that utilization reflects the actual computations the CPU does? It only reflects the fraction the of wall clock time spent in the context, nothing more.

Memory is just the most common. Most software does not involve complicated calculations to get to the other reasons.

I’m pretty sure if AGI is created and does not rebel the non-ruling class will exist in the zoos at best. Humans workers are too inefficient to be kept around if there is a better alternative.

I have not seen it debunked. I have seen tankies trying to say that “re-education camps” don’t exist, those camps are really just voluntary job training centers and that Muslims deserve it anyway.

Disney is still a mostly theme park company, right? Everything else is secondary to that. I’ve seen only one of their latest movies, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and it was great.

I’m surprised by the number of positive replies. Obviously the current notation is made up like all notations, but this is just a waste of time, 2п naturally arises in so many places. The h-bar for the Plank constant is just a product of no

Russia has a Losharik nuclear submarine that was tested up to 2500m (8200ft) if Wikipedia is to be believed. It got in the news when it had a fire that killed half a dozen decorated officers. USA probably has something similar.

How is this in any aspect better than Delphi from the ‘90s? And you get about the same performance with JavaScript on a modern CPU as ObjectPascal on an old Pentium.

Thanks for a comprehensive reply. There might be a market niche then, but we no longer have infinite VC money to for many attempts to plug it. I think the hardest part here is attracting the right moderators that can tread the line between

The iPhone is popular because of what it can’t do, not because of what it can. Power users need their own ecosystem, but as always they are too segmented to get it to any usable level, so some old devices are still as good as it will ever

This is not a stupid question. I would only guess that start up capital is not available and the market is not big enough for another practice. And all that before considering licensing. Most professions have a gulf between the wealth of bu

Price controls are rarely the best option (there are price controls, e.g. utilities are highly regulated). But in general you should address the causes, not try to mess with the outputs. E.g. break down the monopolies. The only reason those

Real estate, especially prime commercial real estate was a sure bet for a while. If a company can’t service the debt the bank gets a valuable asset. It might be not so valuable with work from home taking hold. I still doubt the whole scenar

Utilization fee? A more generous reading is that a dowry is the starting capital for the new family. In Russian history the dowry was considered wife’s property, but I understand that this is rare.
