Those are metaphors. Hard, but brittle like over heat-treated steel might be a better metaphor. US makes it workers work very hard, but it will explode if too many workers will refuse to put up with the pressure.

Not really. The army is the part of the workforce they actually take good care of. It might be contracted from a PMC, or even the state because under REAL capitalism the state exists to keep the capital happy.

1. Do you have any idea what is the latency for a such operation? This is real world, not computers. Imagine AWS engineers going on strike to give you an idea of how hard would it be to build a competitor from scratch. IRL clients will try

It creates situations no existing laws cover or are ambiguous about. Copyright, for example. Can you demand the training data to exclude your works? Can you circumvent GPL by using machine learning? Can you make discrimination legal by flam

Big companies have a lot of leverage. Vendors don’t want to antagonize them in hope of getting paid eventually and due to a risk of retaliation. Going to court might be a suicide by legal expenses.

That might be a thousand times more expensive. It’s not software, it’s biological processes that are hard to automate.

Your continuum is interrupted all the time, e.g. by sleep or loss of continence. Is that subjectively different from death? A pretty scary thought. Will waking up as a different being feel no different?

It’s entirely possible that my prompts are just too vague, but Midjourney produces good results with a couple of words while SD often makes something unintelligible. But yes, the ability to fine-tune SD is the thing that gives me hope for

That’s not a given, it needs to be fought tooth and nail to be true. And we have slid back on many of the those fronts: anti-trust laws are almost dead, tax evasion is rampant and not pushed in any meaningful way, the power to influence ele

Cool, but I hope his is never used as is, just submit with some keyword and call the latest version of GPT on the diff when looking through the history later. A bad commit message is worse than no message and it can’t be easily fixed.

That will cut costs, so it will be used no matter the outcome. Humans make mistakes too, right? US is ripe for multi-tier medicine. Limiting diagnostics to AI will be preferable to huge medical bills for so many.

Yes, but that’s how the market works. Turning everything into subscriptions gets you more money and makes migration even harder for customers.
