Yes they literally can lock any device you plug their SIM into, if they want to. They used to, but it's uncommon now.

Not sure about AT&T because I've never done it, but with Visible (another phone in my family) I can login to the app and install a new eSIM again. It really does depend on carrier policy I would say

While I am an eSIM proponent, what you're describing could happen with eSIMs as well and is unrelated to the format of the SIM. For example, I use AT&T and before eSIM I could transfer my physical SIM between phones without calling

> With eSIM there's a tighter coupling between the phone and carrier. Not sure if I like that. I'm not sure what you mean? Carriers already have the ability to lock a phone to their network, regardless of eSIM or not.

You've already acknowledged that most of the issues you encountered are specific to your phone or carrier. For example, eSIM works fine with 5G on iPhones and in my experience there is no delay to activate an account. I've set up

Do you use Private browsing and then refresh the page? That box appears because private browsing protections are much stricter than regular browsing and can break websites.

I've had hearing loss my whole life and I wear them all the time on most days. However, I do find a sort of peace not wearing my hearing aids. If the house is empty I usually don't put my hearing aids on for hours in the morning.

It's certainly a mix of both, but the T has been underfunding maintenance and repair work in favor of the big capital projects that are demanded of it. That is a funding issue, even if there are many more issues to add to that.

Disabling apps is different from disabling non-verified extensions. The linked article addresses that Mozilla already has the capability to handle discovered malware, which is separate from this issue.

That's the hybrid, but still <$25k. I averaged 51 MPG on my last road trip (~700 miles round trip). Fully loaded car with 5 adults and cargo. Cruising speed of 73 MPH.

While it's true that the hybrid is rated for <50 MPG, I've driven mine over 5,000 miles and it has never averaged below 50 MPG a tank, mostly highway driving.

I was going to say the same. My Logitech Circle has no app, even if I wanted one. All setup is in the Home app and it works even if my home WiFi is not connected to the wider internet.

My cars both have an app and full cellular connection (2020 and 2023 model years) and they can go two weeks without a risk of not starting. Haven't gone longer though.
