Just bought a 2023 Toyota Corolla. Disable the telemetry (easy to do, prompted during setup) and you've got a 50 MPG sedan with a basic gauge cluster and standard infotainment screen, but nothing else for less than $25k (excl. taxes)

What's deceptive about it is you click the first link to cancel your benefits, then each subsequent page is basically a quiz: "which button will boot you out of the cancel flow and which button will proceed to the next page"

There's not an official adapter but one has been announced by Ford & GM. The word on the street is that the Tesla plugs will start speaking the CCS protocol so an adapter is trivial.

Apple is pushing PCM (private click measurement) as a middle safe ground, but nobody would adopt it if more invasive and accurate measures continued working. They're probably hoping that advertisers will retreat to PCM instead of conti

On iOS for passwords, this is a systemwide system that allows any app to register as a password provider and any password field to receive those passwords via the system keyboard. I would assume that the system passkey interface will handle

> Password manager apps can save and offer passkeys on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. No reason to believe this would work differently than the existing affordances for 3rd party apps to offer passwords, which works well today

With the car warranty people I would let them say their script and ask random (somewhat stupid) questions - I had a fake car/vin/address/name that I'd read to get through any of those questions. Haven't gotten one i
