Maybe you need a better shop? A couple of weeks back I broke a couple of spokes (finally found the weight limit of a Gazelle Heavy Duty NL bike - probably about 200kg of people), they fixed the spokes, realigned the wheel, and replaced the

As someone learning a second language through classes, immersion, and - when I remember - apps, I don't really agree. Certainly early on speaking is easy because you have a handful of words and know how to put them together, and listen

I can speak to the Netherlands that this summary may not be the whole truth. As a non-EU non-citizen, I could vote for the water board after being here for one year (the water board is important but imo not interesting), the city council af

Hm, Ambroos is a tricky one. The best I could think of would be "arm" (assuming they're not with a rhotic-r accent, though I could imagine people then making it sound like aam) + "close" (as in dichtbij, not sluiten

My understanding is that children rewatching things over and over is healthy for them, as it aids in things like language learning. Anecdotally, in my own experience learning a second language, the online part of the course will play an aud
