I drove a manual years ago. It was fun then, but now I prefer the paddle-shift of my "semi-auto", which is still going strong without fault for 15 years. I can downshift before the hill to get revs, and prevent the auto-shift as

Same. My Panasonic plasma from 2007 still works fine, although mine sits in the garage. I use a projector now. I tried selling the plasma but nobody wanted it, not even for $50. Picture quality is amazing for 1080p sources and low-light vie

It's interesting to see how plasma TV power depends on what's on screen. A mostly dark image and the watts take a dive. Bright images and suddenly the power consumption skyrockets.

It's the right word in the context I used it. "API" refers to the whole thing. API does not refer specifically to how statements are written or how accessible or readable its custom patterns and expression are to read and wri

We can safely use the word syntax in this context without offending programming languages. You seem overly concerned with latching "syntax" to a tightly controlled definition. Perhaps you should google "jquery syntax" th

There's a JS library called New Stuff? For me, I use Jquery because it works. Light and low impact. Syntax is good for readability.

That article doesn't address the point raised: their placement of jquery in the head of page was likely the cause of the performance issues more than the presence of jquery.

Have browsers always done this? I thought and heard that using a JS library from CDN is beneficial when users already have that same cached JS library from visiting other sites. But you're saying that's not a thing? So what's

Correct. In addition to the proposed solution, there should be a global setting on the phone that lets users decide that all web links in apps should open in browser; ask every time; or open in app every time. In addition, a per app setting
