This thread needs to get nuked by admins. Amount of "downvote because I disagree", "upvote whatever because hype" is astounding. Your response is an example. It's better articulated then many others [0], [1] and yet

IPFS is an attempt to fix link rot by addressing content by its contents, not its location. Very cool project.

Signal having all three qualities author is blogging about: security, multi-device cync, and usability basically makes this post and SMU theory nil. This looks like a case of "I have my theory, now lets bend facts to fit the theory&quo

From what I've read in docs posted above, identity key is copied from S-Android to S-Desktop. If you lose S-Android, there are two possibilities. 1) Your keys are safe (device was encrypted and/or you've wiped it remotely, wh

Signal is currently beta testing "Signal Desktop" which introduces (somewhat limited) multi-device sync capability. I use it and I'm happy about experience. I basically don't need other communicators right now for close

I agree. Increasing block size to 4-8 Mb is probably safe. And it would encourage more adoption. At this moment, unfortunately, confirmation times are close to unreliable.

I personally use it for amounts starting from 30c. But two questions should be answered. How micro is micro-payment? Popular fee right now is at 0.0001 BTC which corresponds to ~0.04USD, which could be considered not very "micro-fee&qu
