How far behind are Rivian and Lucid? All these niche EV companies are too far from profitability, they have no secret sauce making them useful acquisitions for a legacy carmaker or tech companies. The Chinese might want their established ma

For those that haven't seen it, there's a a great New Yorker cover called "View of the World from 9th Avenue" that pokes fun at this. Here's a close-up of the image: https://saulsteinbergfoundation.org&#

I thought Russia's hypersonic missiles were a failure, with the Ukrainians shooting them down with 30 year old Patriot missiles? There were a lot of articles about it last year, here's one: https://www.defenseone.com&#x

But that's the most interesting part of the article - that Amazon and HBO projects are being worked on by NORTH KOREAN workers!!! I totally agree with the HN headline and I'm glad it got me to click and read the entire article.

I'd love to try a CPAP, any suggestions other than asking an Indian coworker to bring one back? Is there a gray market? Maybe Mexican mail order pharmacies? I'm the US with health insurance but I bet it'll be more expensive t

Finally someone mentions the unintelligible dialogue. I saw it with my sister and cousin in the theater, we couldn't understand maybe 40% of the dialogue. And yes, we're native American English speakers. Such a shame.

I don't think it'd take two years to learn cobol, it should be less than that. There's a comment in this thread from a former consultant that completed a 4 week COBOL bootcamp before being sent to a client to write code!

The answer is India. Just Google India and COBOL, there's tons of schools teaching it. So if Watson doesn't work out for you, IBM is happy to sell you offshore consulting services the bridge the gap! This is all win-win for IBM
