As far as I'm aware Backblaze stores data only within a single datacenter (for a given region). This likely made sense in their original business model of being "offsite" copy of data. But it very much breaks down for B2 wher

A large amount of programmers are hired just building crud apps. Display data from a database and write it back with a validation. Etc. There is very little innovation going on. And most companies do everything they can to stick to standard

The US govt trusts SpaceXAI for defense and high security missions. The idea they are lying about contracted AI services is absurd. They're also a public company which beings even more oversight than openai / anthropic.

Yup. GitHub has easily the worst human-noticable downtime for all SaaS services I've used going back over 10 years. Most people work around it by self-hosting github (which has other problems but uptime aint one).

There's has been a noticeable improvement in bots for me since the new Android app rolled out a few weeks back. Not exactly sure how that changed anything but I see a lot less bot slop now.
