I love the idea. Love it. Like, really excited. However, I'm not prepared to use a service like this in a hosted environment. Too many risks: you go out of business, security, privacy, etc. Plus the information just feels to personal to be

iPhone tethering is allowed on my carrier, but I got the app anyway because setting up an ad-hoc WiFi network will allow me to tether my iPhone to my iPad, as well as the fact that bluetooth tethering between Mac <--> iPhone is flak

"I also think that it would benifit Apple to start thinking about shaping OS X to work on a mobile platform. Think about it. OS X running on a cell phone or a pda? F*ck!ng awesome!" In hindsight, I agree.

Fair comments, but I'm still not liking it... I've had my existing Mac Mini for about 6 years and I don't really ever turn it off (it now mainly serves media). I would leave the back facing the front, but then I might as well buy a Dell. I

That was my first "wtf" reaction. Although they don't show it in the photos, the back of a mac mini isn't exactly a fun place to have to poke around all the time. Cables etc. Especially because (at least in older models) the cables tended t

I was thinking about this just today. I want a cert to use with Heroku. I love Dreamhost and I use them for all my static websites, backup storage, git hosting, and domain registration. They provide SSl certs for $15, but I've never bought

Love it. One thing I noticed is that in the example, they are clicking on div elements (I assume) within the html page to trigger the contextual menu. Those div elements contain anchor links, but the demo'er is careful not to click the link

We are based in a far off land, with most of our customers in the US. I just include in my support emails: "If you'd rather discuss anything on the phone, just send me your phone number and timezone and I'll be in touch at a time that works

I admit - I overreacted... Sorry Magcloud. You can cancel my support request (seriously, which is kind of embarrassing). Anyway I've had dinner and can now speak calmly. The feature that I described (a preemptive suggestion of the inability

Several months ago I came across an issue where it became obvious that a file in my Dropbox public folder was being blocked by the GFWoC (public files are accessed via the dl.dropbox.com domain). I ran some tests using online services that

Wait. Isn't Final Cut Studio still written in Carbon? Talk about throwing stones in a glass house! What a strange statement to make given his obvious knowledge of the difficulty of porting such a large suite of applications.

I like the idea. I've often thought about this within more narrow verticals (e.g. programming). I like to learn using iTunes U, but it would be nice to have those video lectures included in a broader curriculum recommendation from somebody

I am loving Heroku for the exact reason described in this post: no sysadmining. At first I thought that wasn't possible and expected all kinds of issues with gems etc, but so far everything I've tried really does Just Work™. This may warran

I think it's more deperate that Adobe has basically faked the Google Finance screenshot. The site degrades gracefully in the absence of Flash, and will still show a graph. The author has edited the graph out and imposed a 'missing plugin' i

I like it. Though I feel that some of these guides don't really qualify as cheat sheets. I consider a cheat sheet to be a quick reference with helpful commands, syntax, examples etc. Some of these documents are just condensed howto guides.
