Like a lot of security researching blogs, this post doesn't have a good conclusion. This seems bad, and probably is bad, but there has to be details as to why it's bad, what is the danger, what is the threat model, etc.

Bitbucket (all of Atlassian) UI designers are still living their IBM days. GitLab is the major competitor I see.

A lot of C++ code I see is in Hungarian notation. Less true for pure C.

My bad, not sure how I got 222K. I don't get these numbers, if you assume it's for 9 employees, it's too high. If you assume it's for the 50 employees that they say they have, it's too low.

You're correct. I find WoW's success difficult to judge recently. As, perhaps Activision ruined it, or perhaps it's just a game that's now 10 years old. And MMORPG gameplay is down overall.

Am I reading this right that 9 people are making an average of ~222K? edit: ~290K

I don't know where you're listening, because this is not a common thing. It's actually far more common to do this in Europe.

HOTS is good. Just hasn't taken off. Hearthstone is an amazing success and very fun. Overwatch looks very promising. WoW is just old now, and it's still an alright game, but it's been out for too long. I believe TBC and WOTLK

I write Python 2 code, and just always use `print("...")` in both. It makes a lot more sense, matches other languages syntax, and is compatible in both. I honestly don't see it in any way worse than `print "...."`.

Mir can mean numerous things. And how is it not how Google Translate works? Do you have inside information? Because the only information we have is that it scours the web, makes connections, and forms a graph. Can feed it some "correct

Wild guess: It probably took 'Mir', meaning world, kingdom, etc. in Russian, and made a connection to "Mordor", or perhaps "Mordor" is even spelled as "Mirdor" in Russian.

Seems like a lot of wasted tax $. Why are they wasting their $ and time to patent a board game, a way to get state of a GUI, child car seats? There's no way those things would even hold up, no way they'd even bother legally battli

I certainly agree about your last statement, I have no clue what that would do without reading the spec. I'd guess an error, but apparently not.

Preferably one. Unfortunately they put in `format`, and can't remove it now. I think moving towards f-strings is a lot better and should be embraced.

GitHub's reign over public open source programming is a bit terrifying. But, it's been mostly benevolent so far, but I do find it troubling to trust a private company to keep dev's in mind, and not profit.

I wasn't aware that Perl 6 was going to be projects aiming to implement a spec. Nonetheless, I find the title to be misleading, it can be phrased better and more specific. As Larry Wall says in the tweets below, it'd be more exact

Cuckoo supports plugins too, I wrote up a summary of them here: https://www.eugenekolo.com/blog/cuckoo-sandbox-notes/#div_cu... . Can also edit the Analyzer/monitor part to add in new function hooks.
