I don't think he's implying you can't be a good company without it, just that there's a lot of hardship and lessons learnt that can be avoided by having a researcher do academic diligence. You can learn those lessons the

I checked the page about an hour ago, and it was at about $180k, I just went back now to watch the video and it's now $250k and actively rising as I watch the video! I'm going to say this will definitely destroy its goals. :)

Depending on the program, the quality of your instruction can be vastly different from college to college. While an elite college is not a guarantee of a good curriculum, or better teachers, those colleges are more likely to have better pro

Did you get internships? I did an internship every year at my school and their network helped me get them. Network doesn't just mean knowing people from the school after graduating, it also means leveraging it to get ahead while you&#x

Is there a similar library that can use local assets? I'd prefer to remove an external website dependency from my build process if possible.

That's true :) But at least the absolute amount wrong will be hours or days, instead of weeks or months. Also, you can leave it a bit more vague and just say "I need to explore the problem space a bit before giving an estimate&quo

I think a big part of the problem is that nobody ever teaches developers how to estimate and they are almost always wrong. A typical scenario is; PM describes a feature, asks for an estimate, and the developer gives it to him, right then an

The didn't do a very good job during their tenure. As a user all I could tell that they did was re-architect and redesign the site several times without actually pushing the platform forward at all.

I would prefer if the hostname was clearly separated and highlighted with the path after. I don't really feel the need to be able to instantly enter a new url outweighs my desire to see what URL I currently am on.

Is there a precedent for this in traditional investing, such as a case where an angel invests in a company and the founders take the money and run, or blow it without making a real attempt at the company?

If a website loads the javascript facebook API on their site, and you're logged into facebook in general, they know who you are and what page you were on when the script was loaded whether you give the site permission or not. When the

I'm surprised a GUI for selenium test creation hasn't been done sooner. It looks like you guys have done a good job, but the feature I would need to see before using this seriously is a way to get the selenium code output and fine

That's a very good point, as it's commonly used but rarely pointed out. I feel the examples in this article are very well known, but I never thought about the impact of 3D charts. I suspect many people who use it do so without any

I think they're addressing a public complaint. When other companies provide vague responses or simply say "no comment", people complain. Tesla tries very hard to be faultless, apparently to a fault.

We can pretend things are equal, but they're not. If a young girl is taken to a work place and all she sees is 20+ men working there (and chances are that is what she would see), that can definitely be discouraging. Unfortunately, wome

It's a very hard job, and not everyone is up to the task. Good management is very hard to find, and that's true of any position. It's hard to find good engineers too. Maybe the best advice for OP is to try and get to know the
