Using your own API key is hardly abusing it. Officially (not that it means much these days) they've said they're keeping it free for individuals with 'standard' usage, which is what one sole user in an app would be.

It's an artform so its natural for a composer to have the same reaction as a painter would to Stable Diffusion for example. That being said - it's happening, and nothings going to stop it regardless of which side of the fence peop

Theres loads of good music out there, it's just become extremely hard to find unless you're all in on scouring niche subreddits and soundcloud.

Well, that went about as well as expected. A handful of non answers, over 99.8% of all questions ignored, and the admin participants vanished without a trace less than 30 minutes after it started, not even updating it to say it was over.

There's been a great deal of talk about it on reddit after they closed i.reddit.com (Despite saying they wouldn't). It wont get announced officially, it will just vanish at some point.

FWIW there is suggestions that old.reddit.com is next on the chopping block. If that happens I dont think I could use the site anymore. The redesign is outright hostile.

If only that was on the cards. MS really needs something to give them a good kick up the arse so they stop pumping out crummy software. Sadly I dont see it happening any time soon.

They are feasible and I dare say already working given its essentially a modded iOS, which already has support for game controllers.

They've had developer units but not a publicly released one as far as I know. When Apple TV was being developed they were handing them out to devs for free like they had millions they were trying to get rid of. I was a lowly single app

Yes this is where lack of controllers is going to be an issue. I guess you could use a PS/Xbox controller but then you may as well be playing on a pc. I get why they didn't want to go the controller route, but they'll surely

I'd attribute part of that to there being so few games available that you've got a captive audience and limited content. Meta was proudly boasting about how the Quest 3 will have "Over 500 titles" - thats not something t

Same experience here. For stationary position games I found it fine, but anything with any kind of walking handled by the controllers it felt awful. Interestingly I tried out F1 2022 in PCVR mode with it and was surprised to find that didn&

Leveraging existing content from the iOS/macOS app store is going to be key I think. The "now what" is a common issue with the Quest. It's a fun little toy but once you realise they're charging AAA prices for what a

Agreed. If you pop into any dollar/pound type store the shelves are filled with cheap cables and car phone holders that use the 'i' name. It's become synonymous with cheap junk now.

At a complete guess, the non-pro model will arrive in around 2025. It will have the same M2 chip as the current one, and less or lower quality sensors/cameras, and maybe a cheaper and/or non-replaceable strap (I'd lean toward

To go 10x lower we're at $339. Thats not happening, this thing has essentially a full blown macbook baked into it. Apple has never been interested in cheaping out, and in VR that's Meta's job - their Quest headsets are litter

FWIW a lot of helecopters fly over WDW these days. Having just returned last week I'd see a good 5 or so helecopters flying over and around the parks every day. It is a tad annoying at this point but given there are no restrictions on

Yep theme park fandom is massive. For places like Epcot especially as it holds a lot of nostalgic value to many. Surprisingly a lot of the fandom isn't anything to do with IP like shoehorning in Disney characters, but more about atmosp

Not really surprising. The biggest giveaway should be for Americans to look at other countries. Annual checkups really are not at all the norm in most places. In the UK for example, the last time I saw a doctor was about 16 years ago when I

Older java minecraft is still very much alive and well. There's thousands of servers that still use old versions and have hundreds, sometimes thousands of members online at a time.

I'd recommend using a launcher, it stops that happening. I use Prism Launcher and after the initial sign in about a year ago I've never been asked to log in again even after going a few months of not playing it.

Not really that surprising is it? I'm waiting for the day they send me the inevitable notice to pay more, aka the day I cancel Netflix. They could get away with this if their offering was substantially better than the competitors but t

Gitlab is a bit weird in that regard. Their standalone self-hosted use of it is great, but overall discovery is extremely poor on both self hosted and cloud editions. They seem to have based the whole thing on the way Bitbucket works and co
