The 'crypto grifting' is something you can turn off completely, it's there as a way to make the browser sustainable without accepting payments from Google to make it the default search engine. I'd argue its far more trus

See to me the "running my own company with a payroll bigger than my old day job" isn't something I'd want - it actually sounds like a total nightmare to me. The whole point to me is getting to a stage where you can work

Yup, Figma is likely to become the next Adobe. Shareholders are vastly more important than consumers as we all sadly know.

Ours is going the other way and wanting people not to use it. A losing battle but the people making decisions are a bit fuddy duddy about this sort of stuff, we just keep getting links posted about how much energy it consumes talking to cha

Out of interest how long ago was this? The Covent Garden and Oxford street ones literally have a queue line for pickups and purchases over in the far right. Not 100% sure how long Oxford street has had theirs (at least since Xmas) but I kno

Their flagship shops (Especially London) are really not places you go to buy on a whim, it's why they have a booking and collection process - yes it might suck but its by far one of their busiest shops.

Cursor became awful over the last few weeks so it's likely them, no idea what they did to their prompt but its just been incredibly poor at most tasks regardless of which model you pick.

This is pretty interesting, I had a very similar experience with Github Copilot's plugin inside Jetbrains IDE today (set to use 4o). I asked it to tell me how to do something, it instead routed in my code, tried to write a python file

Nothings forcing you to replace them, they'll still work on Tahoe. Also 2020 is the last Intel models. Late 2025 is the Tahoe release, and then you get 3 years of updates, meaning a total of 8 years of software updates for that 2020 ma

I think it depends on the usecase (and budget) as to what's 'best' really. I've got Proxmox running on a couple of servers and it's great. But I also run Unraid on the main NAS server purely for its ZFS drive setup.
