This is really fantastic! I've always felt like the lisp family could be a potentially killer educational language, with clojure being a good pick for its focus on functional ideas while being a bit more concise (and practical (looking

Maybe I'm just not good enough, but i use Dvorak on desktops(~110wpm on typeracer) and still use qwerty on my phone. The (perceived) comfort improvement just isn't there for me when I'm typing with two thumbs and use a swipe

Really glad to see more people switching to meow[0]. It felt extremely right after using and being frustrated by both standard emacs and evil. I wrote the article [1] linked in the post, so that was really fun to see as well! Tldr: simplici

I'm stunned by how well this works for Japanese, the only language I think I'm good enough at to judge the AI's responses. The speech recognition is flawless as far as I can tell. The AI occasionally gets itself into a loop o

Some people have mentioned window managers, but nothing comes quite close in terms of extensibility and feature as dwm[0] and xmonad[1], which is a near dwm reimplementation in haskell with many more interesting features. Both programs are

My interpretation is that the same initialization config will lead to the same setup every time, in the sense that each installation is pure in a way. Of course, while it probably just works, it's only actually pure if you pin every pa

You might be right in cad and eda, but there's surely a case to be made that python libs(numpy, sympy), sage, r, octave could be better that matlab or mathematica.

I think anki is still probably the way to go. It doesn't store your cards in plain text, they're in a sqlite database instead. I use ankipandas[0] to read, manipulate and analyze my cards though. [0] https://github.com&

This is pretty neat, I've also encountered the same problem. Personally, I take my notes in emacs org-mode, and I've built up a workflow around anki-editor[0], some snippets and elisp. [0] https://github.com/louiet
