You are right. The article only claimed to provide a list of expert suggestions on how to fix the New York subway and it did that. I'm the one who wants it to be more. It strikes a chord because the suggestions offered feel like so m

That's not what I mean. Take for example solution #1: "Redesign stations to get more people on and off trains faster." The text and graphics then goes on to explain some interesting issues with various stations but what solut

As non-NYC resident the first thing I though was, "Huh, I wonder what's wrong with New York's subways?" But alas they went straight into solutions so I am still left to wonder what problems they are trying to fix and in

So you would be willing to have 30% less battery life everyday to avoid replacing the pack every couple of years? That’s a trade off I personally wouldn’t make.

You're assuming the issue is only changing capacity vs age. Internal impedance increases with age as well. A full battery that can't source its energy in a timely manner might as well be empty.

This post gives us an estimate for what percentage of the iPhones are getting throttled by this issue. I think it's reasonable to use this as a proxy to estimate how many units were at risk of shutting down and it is the minority of u

From a security point of view how is embedding python different from embedding Visual Basic? This is not my area of expertise so I’m genuinely curious.

I think they can very likely match the TDP-down (7.5W,800MHz) performance of a Intel CPU from 2015 in a passively cooled iPhone. Now can they match the TDP-up (25W,2.8GHz,actively cooled) performance of this chip? Probably not. That'
