I obviously can't relate entirely, but I have bulked up to 220 for weight lifting and subsequently cut down to 165 for rock climbing and my stomachs capacity would swing wildly based on input. Think 8 hot dogs and buns easily at 220 to

With knowledge workers isn't there like... an end result? I usually know who on my team will get stuff done vs who will struggle with a task for days on end. Whether the person is working 4 hours a day or 12 who cares about anything be

If you live in a high traffic area having your car drive you through the stop and go is currently possible and a huge quality of life increase. Stop and go traffic is 100% the worst experience when driving, having that automated is awesome.

It's behaving like a VC funded unicorn that is trying to get their IPO payday but it really isn't that at all. Sucks.

Interviewees being able to instantly produce the right answer made me think of another problem Interviewers need to account for currently: people who are biding their time until the market heats up again. There are definitely engineers hunt

I’m all for housing and support to help people get back on their feet. I just don’t understand why that housing has to be in SF/Oakland. It is a crazy dense and expensive area. There are cities that would gladly take in low skill worke

They probably have totally different priorities. Apollos only goal is good UI/UX. Reddits is tracking, Ad revenue, prioritizing cached content and who knows what other priorities have been pushed into it.

No this is good info, Learn AWS Route 53 if you want to command a high salary. Maybe this was written by an AI? I feel like an editor with some tech knowledge would have laughed at those categories.

You will be ok based on the fact that you are asking about it on HN. Tech workers in the US move their entire lives just to do something like snowboard more. I watched a documentary about bread bakers in Afghanistan and there was a whole ec

They definitely aren’t erasing it in CA. My kid was taught to refer to them as concentration camps instead of internment camps. It is a totally accurate term but it felt like a strong change after calling the Nazi camps by that name.

People aren’t generally affected by issues that are out of sight like those you list. A classmate saying something critical about an teenagers appearance will be 100x more impactful than the rainforests imminent disappearance.
