Not really. The points the OP makes are the same points that are repeated again on every god damn story relating to Android or Apple, They aren't baseless, and probably had merit the first hundred thousand times they were argued over, howev

What is your Android phone? I've played the game on my Nexus One and on an iPhone 4, and I find the experience close to identical. The iPhone 4 without argue has a GPU that absolutely trounces the Nexus One -- though it is matched in the Ga

You have pretty much all of the pro-Apple talking points covered in your various posts in this discussion. I urge you not to simply accept them because you read them elsewhere, however, because they're largely baseless.

It was a trolling title. The EPA has been working out how they would rate electric vehicles, and by the original criteria the LEAF would have been rated at something like 367 mpg. The Volt hasn't suddenly become less efficient -- the rating

While an early adopter vehicle like this isn't about saving money at all (there are extremely few hybrid vehicles that economically pay off), a Volt with come with a lot of cachet. Sure there'll be the contrarians (seriously, the griping ab

Very interesting. Is such a thing configurable in Apache or nginx? It seems to be a rather rude behavior, but I'm curious how accessible it is.

As downtrodden and abused as you might pretend to feel, claiming that I resorted to an ad hominem is quite fallacious: My comment was specifically and only about the argument (which was a variation of the "Apple is always the inventor" them

Out of curiosity, why does the 1700s timeframe preclude such a purpose? That was an era when incredible individual invention occurred, largely in machines and chemistry. It was seldom the R&D division of a large manufacturer (those robb

Android seems to have the same problem with Skype The oddity of Skype is entirely Skype's making -- they saw a revenue model negotiating with carriers (the idea being "Get a Verizon Android phone because then you can get Skype"), so that'

Look, I don't mean to go all John Gruber here, but a good portion of iPhone users wouldn't want anything changed...until it's actually changed at which point it's the most obvious, most important thing in the world. If Apple came out with a

While it might be a problem for some for most it hasn't been one. iPhone users live on with a touchscreen keyboard because they have no choice. Most Blackberry users never migrated to the iPhone for that reason. Android users were caught

The personal example was anecdotal. The same thought process applies to many people. The GP opines that the Jobsian "he'll choose what's right for you" model is, as you quoted, right for most people most of the time. I would say that is abs

I have no disagreement with Gruber here -- he is generally on the mark. However I think it is a short-sighted perspective. The products that are in the market today often had many months to years of incubation end evolution time on them. A

The low end of Android -- particularly in the GPU realm -- is much lower on low-end Android devices. An iPhone 3 decimates a Dream/Magic, for instance. There are new Android devices coming out that still don't hold a match to the original

Just as you can use an Android device without ever seeing a single Google ad. However Apple's media strategy is a big part of their iDevice push. Simply selling you a piece of hardware is only a small part of their plans for you.
