Funny, really interesting why i got downvoted - cintiq tablets/monitors were sold separately unless something changed recently.

I can buy a cintiq for my workstation - hell I would love to buy the screen from this separately.

Opinionated? I've been mixing it with jquery and other libraries just fine. Its really relatively small piece of code (if you rule out the polyfills).

It seems similar to other bigger IT companies in the region. Nothing special - but then again I never did any deep research on the subject.

No downsides, I've been sucessfully using polymer on unsupported IE10 and in our use cases we haven't encountered a blocking issue.

A very good decision, Polymer is a breeze to work with. It also shows that google is very confident in it.

Do you have a link for that? I don't follow swift development and I'm unsure what they actually changed. Rename of what?

Github says that? Can you share a link? I thought moderation is up to users unless someone is actually abusing the service.

For me it was Pyramid+SqlAlchemy - For me probably best python web framework if you want something more than CMS. On frontend I think Polymer and Web Components are a game changer - very low entry barrier and they feel like a proper way to

Exactly the same as you would do for any other framework combination. There is nothing specific you need to do to work with them. Pyramid has great support for REST API building and I'm just using json renderer to serve the data to pol

For frontend: Polymer/VueJs, for backend Python+Pyramid+SqlAlchemy are great options. For database Postgresql is your best bet.

Go with polymer, its mature enough for google, coca-cola, youtube, IBM, ING, general electric and electronic arts among enterprises. I did some "serious" work in it and it works great for us. I also had experience with Angular and

I think that for API building pyramid is the way to go - it has a lot of built in goodies to support api building + there are things like cornice by mozilla or pyramid_swagger.

We were considering and experimenting with react at one point, but in the end we were left with polymer and vuejs as our options. We went with polymer for web standards, bigger ecosystem and great encapsulation options. Everybody loves the

Vue is inspired and similar to polymer - this is what I like about it. If i wouldn't be able to pick polymer i would probably go with Vue, but I picked web standards + bigger ecosystem over vue.

There are tons of enterprises using polymer already in production. One of the biggest companies in the world in their industry: ING, SalesForce, Electronic Arts, Google (including Youtube). Polymer community slack is growing greatly - there

De facto standards are web browser standards - and react is not one. Web Components are. If your friends at work never heard about polymer than maybe its about time to read about standards and browser API's that are being implemented -

You can solve this nicely with Polymer. When elements load they are just new HTML tags and they get "upgraded". Polymer gets way less love on HN than it deserves in my opinion.
