The routing table won't get flushed in between the slumber of the WiFi or 5G modem. You do not have to care about IPs or interfaces being up - we just need to synchronize network work so that most comms can be done in short bursts and

I'd love to be able to use a Qubes like OS on my phones. There's so much vile garbage I need to run on my phone yet at the same time, I want my phone to have access to my passwords and email. Segregating apps is long overdue.

Have you uses the app? It hasn't changed since I started driving. It feels like its being left in maintenance mode. I am very happy it hasn't been killed off yet.

I found the NixOS wiki[1] to have a fairly decent guide on how to hack on a kernel. The process there isn't nearly as concise as it is here though :) [1]: https://nixos.wiki/wiki/Linux_kernel

Maybe they shouldn’t drive at all then?

Yes. People are wielding 2 tonne sledgehammers, often fueled by paleolithic compost. With great power comes great responsibility.

60 days of community service means that most people won't think much about driving attentively. To put it very cynically, if I didn't care for people around me, 60 days of community service sounds like an OK forced retreat. Howeve

They don't need to explain themselves. Big enough shareholders just can express their needs to the board, a vote can be held and, if the decision is not implemented, courts can get involved.

Android is a Linux distribution unlike any other. They use a completely different framework for drivers for hardware, they have their own patches for binder and other things that see no use outside of Android and will never get upstreamed.

It is not some magpies chasing the next shiny thing that are abandoning Xorg. It is the Xorg developers that are leaving it to rot, because they don't want to maintain it.

You cannot upgrade the boot drive at all. It's not even that it's hard, even if you put on higher capacity NAND on the motherboard, you'd still need an apple private key to make it work. This is unacceptable, the pricing for

I do not know what would compel normal users, but clearly the point at which people change browsers is when they get a new machine. Get it to have good integration to get bookmarks off of one's Google account (there are APIs for that).
