This is arguing the ends justify the means. Allow me to quote a relevant section of the article as to why this is a bad idea. > Appealing to capital to enforce one’s political agenda (no matter how noble that agenda might be) implicitly

Nothing surprising in this. People are using an automated online marketplace to sell illegal goods. Online marketplace takes down products when they are reported. It's a game of whack-a-mole and Amazon is doing the bare minimum. The co

On iOS you can do 3 out of the 4 without even unlocking the phone. For weather and calendar, swipe down from the top to show the notification center. For music control, swipe up from the bottom to show control center. Tube status... sorry,

And how to most people get to the open web? Google. By a huge margin. I see numbers ranging from 66% to 90% depending on how you measure it.

Interesting. This wasn't available back in February. I considered Discourse since I am very familiar with rails but adding the features I required would have taken more time than I had back then.

Discourse lacks an integrated calendar. Also, forum notifications aren't sufficient when I want to set a weekly events newletter to people that haven't read the forum recently.

Google calendar would require double entry. Right now the calendar links directly to forum posts and can be created, edited, and deleted at the same time. There is also an issue of moderator training if the site gets larger or someone else

Unfortunately, forums with decent security, forums that are free, and forums that have the features you are looking for are groups that rarely overlap. SMF was the only viable option for a forum I started. My requirements were 1. An e

Good point, I'll need to modify the redirect to disallow multiple slashes at the beginning. That should be something like /\A(http(s?):\/\/#{request.host_with_port}|\/\Z|\/[^\/])/

Interesting. I've never seen this before and the only references I've been able to find on it in a quick search was a compiz setting in 12.04. Is this built in to the stock ubuntu releases? If so, what version?
