Is there a meaningful difference between share and upload any more? "I have something on my device, I want to put it somewhere else" is how that icon is used in iOS and OSX, and for almost all of my use cases, that seems to be cor

As a counter-anecdote, I've been running 10.9.x on my laptop since the first beta and haven't had a grey screen since beta 2 came out. On the other hand, my 1 year old Windows desktop running Windows 7 has had 4 BSODs this year.

On Windows at least, you can drop the Home button to the left of the back button using Customize. The Start menu seems to overlap any maximized application when small icons are enabled, but I guess that's slightly worse without the sta

Scrypt based coins (like doge) won't get hashrates nearly that high. For example, a GTX670 pulls in ~300kh/s while mining doge. 1.3mh/s would make the Galaxy faster than the current highest end graphics card[1]. A Raspberry P

Weirdly enough, I find myself wishing that Microsoft had purchased them instead of Facebook. They've got the hardware experience, and they've proven they're willing to put their money where their mouth is with the Kinect. Nev

Oh wow, that's a nice touch. I'd never noticed that despite using it all the time, which I guess is a good sign.

Firefox's new theme does look a lot like Chrome. The tabs are more rounded and the color scheme is a bit different, but without going into the menus it's hard to tell them apart at first glance sometimes.

Huh. Upgrading to the release version from the beta requires 3.9 gigs of available storage. That's pretty frustrating considering every other beta to release upgrade that I remember has been about 10 mb. Edit: My memory may be fuzzy th

I think Powerball and MegaMillions are the two people usually think of when they think "the lottery", at least in the states that I've lived in.

by epmatsw 13y ago
Well, considering the minimum jackpot for Powerball is $20 million and the average jackpot is $141 million, the answer is this universe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerball#2009_changes_include_...

True. Though I think all 3 would fit the AAA MMO description (especially considering that all of them have a relatively high upfront cost), even if they have IAP.
