I would market yourself as a generalist. Small and medium sized companies under rapid growth need generalists more than anything; especially if your soft skills are good and you can mentor/lead other engineers. I went through tripleby

It's not exactly a service. Of the people that would request to stay with me, I would probably say yes about 10% of the time. If it was convenient, if they seemed interesting, respectful, etc.

I have used and hosted extensively on couchsurfing, but before the AirBNB days. I don't think the community is quite as thriving as it once was, but yes it is actually free.

Depends 99% on your relationships on how to proceed. Assuming good ones, I’d tell the truth to the leads boss. Say you think the lead is struggling, way you think you could do better, and in the meantime provide as much help to both the lea

People outside the west would say the same of the westerners they see traveling. It’s pop literally because it’s popular. The people who have the freedom and interest to travel the world are not “typical” citizens in any country.

I agree about the hunger part. There seems to be this idea imparted by parents into children that hunger is “bad” and should be avoided. Of course we evolved with hunger being a regular part of our experience and only in modern times can t

With all due respect your exact same line of reasoning would work for exercising. Why would it be unwise to think it works for everyone? Does doing sit-ups make everyone’s core stronger? Does doing squats make everyone’s legs stronger? I

That’s not true. Copyright of source code would protect your invention. However if someone else wrote their own code to do the same thing, it would not be protected, which is the point.
