IIRC, they could correct your bill after the fact. I used to joke with others that shoplifted items should be retroactively free - as long as you self report after the fact. (Extra useful training data...)

I would avoid this guide. I don't even see mentions about dilution and cap tables, let alone preference and a bunch of other risks. If you need a solid guide, I usually point at the Holloway Guide To Equity Compensation but I'm a

Is there already a suitable supply chain for that to happen?

With the compensation deferral setup (like Ohtani in MLB), I'm curious if the influence of the caps will be eroded.

For some I suspect that it's not the primary goal, but when some investors pull up with an offer in that range it seems irrational not to take it.

Still, seeing as how I don't look at these kinds of images all day it's really hard for me to gauge if the sea floor is littered with false positive images that may seem to be a good match. I could also imagine a true match to al

I'm a fan of this mentality. (Though I'd be happier if the government gets a copy of all designs that are mass produced.) I recently had a 10 year old TV die on me and I was 90% sure that I just needed to swap the power supply.

These days it's about finding the labor and the project time. All those extra runs of wire add up to a lot of expensive time. If you're doing a remodel it's also a lot of wall that doesn't need to get ripped up.

At this point, I'm coming around to accepting that something has to be disturbed since it seems (simplified) to be a choice between either planned, somewhat bounded, localized invasiveness or unplanned, weakly bounded, global disturban

I'm a big fan of that practice but I get the impression that rebasing scares a lot of devs that either didn't take the time to learn git or are still recovering from that one time that their change got too far away from mainline.

I'm curious if Amazon's charger setup will be different than your normal charging setup. Presumably, you want to charge while the vehicle is being loaded so you want the chargers spaced out around the loading bays. (This nice to

It felt more natural after I renamed it the "inept" or "a*hole" caterer's sequence. I wonder how much of this is due to a cultural sense of fairness and what proper pie cutting looks like. A friend mentioned being a

I don't understand why people just don't call out mortgages for what they are - leveraged loans that let you get ~4-5x the return on housing gains. (Assuming a simplified 20% down scenario and you refi on a regular basis.) I suspe

I think the point was that people with mortgages will opt into lower interest rates but will clearly not opt into higher rates. (Assuming the interest savings is greater than the refinance cost.) I'm not sure why you bring up the amor

I was under the impression that Australia doesn't have the 30-year fixed-rate mortgages that the US has. I assume this leads to having less of a locked-in real estate base?

A long time ago I had this question so I looked through some Android code for this. To me, the most expensive part is doing the search through the image given that you don't know where the qr code is or its orientation. The key is in

To me, this seems a little odd to complain about given that all those factors were true about the equity compensation when people signed on. The company didn't fundamentally do a bait and switch or change the rules. Layoffs suck but I

This looks like a more nuanced pullback than back in 2008 when it seemed like they stopped hiring almost completely. Back then it was more out of fear than logic. Due to the literal hoard of cash sitting around, any meaningful then existen

Is the entrepreneurial equity tax picture the same? In the US, it's all about the capital gains rate. Australia appears to have a similar setup where gains from an asset held for more than a year are taxed at half the rate. That woul

The charge could scale with audience size. For audiences of < 10K (or 100K), the fee could be zero to keep community groups from being charged. In some sense, this could be a proxy for compensating wasted aggregate human time -- or a t
