Silverlight never had even the slightest hint of security, and no interop with JS or non-CLR (e.g. JVM) languages. It was also comically slow and worked only in IE. I'm well versed in security of Wasm. Much better than anything else av

Exactly like that, but also in a secure sandbox and in the browser. Can CLR do that without Wasm?

There's a lot of progress over the past 5 years, every month there's something new and exciting. But it's not yet ready for mass adoption, yeah.

Good, well-maintained connections with long built-up trust in each other. Then experience doesn't even matter.

Has anyone found another job that pays so well for so little, yet? Anything I found is a significant pay cut or significantly harder and more stressful work, so I'm still programming.

In isolation, but no cross-language invocations, reference sharing etc yet. It'll work as promised when I can import a C# class in my JS code, instantiate it and then pass one of its methods to a Python module and invoke it from there.

Yeah, I went to the local branch, pulled out my old Nokia 3310 and asked them to install the app. They promptly switched me back to SMS auth.

I'm working on applying this technology to housing as we speak, you're very wrong IMHO. Yeah some people are going to loose jobs over this, happens all the time. People are not isolated from the market, they function on it and nee

Even feature phones have OS today, most common is KaiOS. It's not spying as much, but it's still capable of it.

What I didn't like about the books is the "eat or be eaten" attitude. But I'd still rather wait until we are at least able to control what happens at home.

I just use the web version of internet banking. One of my banks doesn't have responsive website, but for sending money and setting card limits it's still more than enough.

Isn't it a given that if someone hears and is able to act on it, they will be vastly technologically superior? And is it then wise to do that now? We we're not yet able to even check out that interstellar asteroid...

If you want privacy, don't install anything Google or microG. Surprisingly many apps from Play store (via Aurora or sideloaded) still work (not all features though) - but if you want privacy, don't even use Play store via Aurora.

You're right it's somehow weird. Perhaps the player shows decompressed figures? Check for yourself - right-click on YT video player, show developer/debug info, and there's a chart.

You can't have many APs at one place, they'd transmit over each other. In an open area like a stadium, it's easy to have multiple APs for smaller groups of people.

I played a random 1080p YT video and the player-reported data rate is at least 2.5 MB/s, peaking to 20 MB/s (cca 10 MB/s average). 4K is of course much more than that.

So non-uber drivers don't want to be uber drivers and uber drivers want to be uber drivers? Or what? There was practically nothing else in common between each driver other than their desire to continue working with Uber as they do now.
